IGCSE Biology Results and Evidence

We publish Biology outcomes only when the starting point, teaching period and final evidence can be described accurately. Until that record is established, families can still judge the teaching process and student progress directly.

What evidence is available now

The Biology service is building its own verified result history. We do not use Math outcomes, decontextualised screenshots or an unsupported A* percentage as a substitute for Biology evidence.

Before official exam results are available, parents and students can assess:

The quality of the first lesson with the tutor who would continue teaching.
Whether the tutor can explain the student’s main content, writing, practical or timing priorities clearly.
Whether corrections are retained when the student answers a different question later.
Whether scores improve on fresh timed work, not only on repeated questions.
Whether the tutor can explain what has improved and what the next lessons are designed to address.

How progress should appear during tuition

The earliest useful signs are often smaller than a grade change: fewer repeated mistakes, more accurate terminology, stronger explanations without prompts and better balance across the exam components. Those changes should then show up in fresh school or past-paper results.

Attendance alone is not evidence. A parent should be able to ask for examples of improved work, current weak areas and the reason for the next teaching priority.

How future Biology outcomes will be reported

With consent, a useful result record will state:

The starting evidence, such as a school grade, mock score or diagnostic range.
The student’s Core or Extended route and relevant exam series.
The length and focus of the teaching period.
The final evidence, labelled clearly as a school, mock, predicted or official Cambridge result.
Enough context to avoid suggesting that every student should expect the same outcome.

Claims we do not make

A guaranteed grade or fixed amount of improvement.
Math feedback relabelled as Biology evidence.
An unverifiable pass rate or A* rate.
Student details or screenshots published without appropriate permission.

They are not a substitute for the verified Biology outcome history described above, which we are still building. Read exactly what each figure counts before relying on it.
