Switching schools mid-course is common in Malaysia due to family relocations or school changes. The good news is that all international schools teaching IGCSE Biology follow the same Cambridge 0610 syllabus. The challenge is that schools may teach topics in a different order or at different paces.
What to check at the new school
Which topics have already been covered at the new school?
Which topics has your child covered at the old school?
Are there topics the new school has covered that your child has not?
Is the new school on the same tier (Core or Extended)?
Which exam session does the new school use (May/June or October/November)?
Bridging the gap
Map your child's covered topics against the new school's progress. Any topics the new school has already taught but your child has not are priority gaps: these need to be filled quickly, either through independent study, extra support from the new teacher, or tutoring.
Topics your child has covered but the new school has not are not a problem: your child is ahead on those.
Exam entry
The new school will handle exam registration. Confirm with them that your child is entered for the correct tier (Core or Extended) and the correct papers (especially Paper 5 vs Paper 6). Ensure the school knows your child's exam history if they have already sat any components.

Will the switch affect my child's grade?
Not if the gap is managed well. The final exam tests the whole syllabus regardless of which school taught which topics. What matters is that all 21 topics are covered and revised before the exam.
